"i
want to thank the
window of opportunity foundation for all the support they gave
me the four years i was in college. your monetary assistance
lifted a great burden off my shoulders and gave me the ability
to concentrate on my academic work. i will always be
thankful for that.
i wanted to let you know that i
did in fact graduate from the university of st. thomas. i
graduated last year, may 2003, and received a bachelor's
degree in communications and spanish (joint major) and a minor
in theology. after months of searching for employment i landed
a job with univision kxln ch. 45 on august 5th. i have been
the promotions/public affairs assistant for the past year now.
again, i wanted to thank you for
all your help and support throughout these past years. also,
please keep me informed on how i can help the foundation.
i would love to give back to the organization that has helped
me on the road to reaching my dreams."

"first
of all i want to thank this organization for supporting me all
this time. this will be my seventh semester in the
college of education at the university of houston. it seems to
me that just yesterday i was graduating from high school. i
saw this dream very far from being a reality.
as a college student i have to
mention that college has influenced me a lot. i have learned
to discipline myself, to accept challenges, to work
cooperatively, and to never give up. all these things i have
learned will help me confront problems when i go out to the
real world. however there is one thing that is as or more
important than what i have mentioned above: working for my
student's best interest. as a future bilingual educator my
main goal is to teach my children what they need to know so
that they can succeed in school and in life."

"having
approached the end of my undergraduate education, i had
a unique experience last fall. i can without doubt say that i
had a very busy semester, particularly due to increasingly
challenging school work and greater amount of time required to
work on my research projects at the texas medical center.
i sadly realize that this is the
end of what was an exciting journey. this is the last letter i
write to the scholarship committee of a window of opportunity
foundation. as always, i would like to take this opportunity
to thank you for your support in the past years and ask you to
wish me luck in the next major phase of my higher education -
medical school."

"again,
i want to thank the foundation for their unwavering and
continuing support for myself and all the other foundation
recipients. this scholarship is very important to me and
all the other students like me, as it is helping all of us to
continue our education.
again, i want to thank the
foundation for all their support and help. i want you to know
that i appreciate your confidence in my ability to achieve my
goals and make my mark in the world."

"in
the spring of 2005 i had one of the most significant
opportunities for intellectual and personal development in an
international setting while studying aboard in spain. i now
feel that i possess necessary skills to function and succeed
in a culturally diverse world.
the spring of 2005 had such a
powerful positive impact on my international educational
experience. every experience i have had in my life has been a
stepping stone to jump to the next adventure. and while my
scholarship opportunity with window of opportunity began
before many of my college accomplishments, i consider it to
have been a very positive start to success. again, thank you
window of opportunity."
